About Our Town

Founded in 1823, Fogwood Point has a long and strange history and got its name from the massive fog cover that occasionally rolls down from the mountains. Today the town sits at the base of Pangborn Forest. Its nature, eclectic architecture and arts scene bring many visitors from all over. We welcome everyone from all walks of life to enjoy our secret little nest in the west and hope you'll fall in love with it just as much as we do!
